William Last

A qualified chartered accountant, Billy Last spent just over seven years at Ernst & Young before joining LexisNexis South Africa. His strong leadership and execution skills led to him quickly progressing from Finance Manager in 1988, to being appointed to the board in 1990. In 1991, Billy headed up Sales and Marketing and in 1993; he was appointed the CEO of LexisNexis. Under his astute leadership, our business has evolved from a publisher into a knowledge based, total solutions business. Since Billy’s appointment, LexisNexis South Africa has consistently delivered annual double digit revenue and profit growth. In 1997, he was also instrumental in securing Kagiso Media as our black economic empowerment partner. Billy was honoured with the prestigious Reed Elsevier Leadership Award in 2008. LexisNexis’ common vision, under Billy’s dynamic leadership, is to continue with our focused solution expansion strategy across the research, compliance, risk and practice management solution lines and to maintain LexisNexis South Africa’s reputation for being a great place to work.

Thabo Molefe

Thabo is responsible for new-sales strategy and the development of customer markets for LexisNexis South Africa through multiple sales channels, including direct sales teams, telesales and other. Managing customer relationships and key accounts are key to his role.

Terrance Naidoo

Terrance is responsible for publishing production to meet both internal and external demands. Quality assurance and providing products that are accurate, precise and up-to-date are key to his role. He is also responsible for delivering sustainable subscription revenue for all print, CD and online publications.

Chris Uniacke

Chris is responsible for the strategic direction of LexisNexis South Africa’s online platforms and electronic solutions for the Core Business and Risk Management Division. Key to this role is the development of technological solutions that offer real value propositions for customers.

Paul Worsnip

Paul is responsible for the Finance, IT, Collection and Distribution departments.
He controls the preparation and submission of financial information to customers, shareholders and external stakeholders. As CFO, Paul plays a central role in all acquisitions and strategic initiatives of LexisNexis South Africa. He is also responsible for compliance, and implementation of group policy,  plays a key role in corporate governance and  is responsible for the company’s expansion into the rest of Africa and new markets within the Commonwealth.

Greg Brown

Greg is responsible for our Risk Management and Compliance solutions as well as Company Strategy and Innovation. Greg is responsible for the strategic direction of LexisNexis Risk Management and our Compliance solutions. Key to this role is strategy, new business development and tactical execution in order to ensure continued sustainable growth via the introduction of new products and services. Greg also plays a vital role in developing strategic plans for LexisNexis South Africa and driving innovation initiatives within the organisation.

Nick Bent

Nick is responsible for a wide range of business development activities for the core LexisNexis business. His duties range from strategic planning in our core markets to tactical execution in order to ensure continued sustainable growth via the introduction of new products and services. Nick also has executive responsibility for  Professional Seminars, Labour Training, Practice Management and Online Research solutions.
