The Financial Advisor's Development Series is a series of two manuals based on levels of competency which have been determined in consultation with the industry. The aim of these manuals is:

  • To provide financial advisers with a set of up-to-date reference manuals.
  • To provide the industry with comprehensive, consistent and up-to-date information at all levels of learning which can be used by organisations as a basis for their training programmes thereby enabling financial advisers to unlock their potential.
  • To ensure that financial advisers have the necessary knowledge, competence and operational ability to fulfill the requirements laid down by the Registrar of Financial Services Providers.

The work is prepared by a team of specialist authors and this has ensured the right mix of theoretical knowledge and practical application whilst at the same time maintaining a consistent academic structure. The work emphasises practical examples, case studies and checklists.

LexisNexis is working with the Financial Services SGB and the Inseta focus groups to ensure that the content of our manuals is in line with the industry unit standards. The work is housed in two A4 looseleaf manuals which facilitate timeous and easy updating and enable the user to add their own notes

The publication is available in printed and online format.
