How to Connect
My LexisNexis requires the latest iPad software version, 4.3.5. To check your version or update your device to the latest version:

  • Connect your iPad to your computer / laptop
  • Launch iTunes
  • Select your iPad, which will appear under 'Devices' on the left navigation pane - now you can see which version you're running
  • Click the 'Check for Update' button to start the version update process if required


Once you have updated or verified that you have the correct version, log onto My LexisNexis and start working.

My LexisNexis offers a wide range of online publications that are accessible via the website, www.mylexisnexis.co.za . A username and password are required to gain access.

My LexisNexis allows clients to save time and to be efficient due to powerful searching and cross referencing technology. You may also search simultaneously across multiple databases.

The e-mail facility allows you to e-mail information to a colleague directly from the My LexisNexis site. My LexisNexis is convenient to use because it is accessible whenever and wherever you need it. You can customize it to suit your unique requirements by selecting relevant titles from a range of over 100 publications (e.g. LAWSA, Statutes, Law Reports, Butterworths Forms and Precedents). It’s affordable and offers value for money.

My LexisNexis is easy to use and free training and helpdesk facilities are available to assist you. You can feel confident and secure using My LexisNexis because the service is reliable and current.

There are free services on the site that add value by making useful information available to you.

My LexisNexis is an online service only but most of the publications that are available online are also available in printed format.
