Tarissa Wareley is an Immigration Specialist at Xpatweb, Head of Africa Desk. She holds a BA in International Relations obtained from the University of South Africa. She has over 4 years’ experience in handling immigration matters in Mozambique, and African countries such as Angola, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, and Mauritius and more. Her main areas of focus are in offering strategic advice tailored to the project at hand for the quickest, and most compliant option for successful kick off. She is fluent in Portuguese and English and has some knowledge of Spanish.

On 23 May 2020 the Department of Home Affairs confirmed that international travel will be allowed for South Africans, who fall within limited categories. The main ones being: work, study, family reunion, to take up permanent residency and for medical reasons. These are indeed the most important categories and make provision for most cases where international travel is an important consideration.
