Portia Samkelisiwe Dlamini

Portia Samkelisiwe Dlamini was born in a small town Port Shepstone in the lower South Coast.  She is a graduate with an LLB Degree from the University of Zululand, where she served at the University’s  Law Clinic doing Pro Bono work in helping the community. She also served in the areas of Family Law, Law of Persons, Competition Law, Negotiable Instruments and Criminal Procedure as a Tutor and Student Assistant.

She is proudly the first in her family to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from a University in record time. She is currently serving her articles of clerkship as a Candidate Attorney at Schwenn Incorporated, a Law Firm based in Durban North. Her role as a Candidate Attorney includes Court Appearances, drafting of documents, consultations and attending at the Masters of the High Court Offices.

In her spare time, she does motivational talks, reads and spends time with her family. She has found a pillar of strength in her faith and God throughout her entire life; this drives her to push forward and to look forward to growing in the law profession.
