Legodi Thutse

Author – Insolvency (Lawsa Volume 23(1) – Third Edition)

Legodi Thutse worked as a Lecturer in the School of Law, University of Kwa-Zulu Natal from October 2022 to January 20224. He is now a Lecturer in the Department of Private Law, University of Pretoria (from January 2024).

He holds LLB and LLM degrees from the University of Pretoria, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Risk, Compliance and Governance from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is currently completing an LLD degree through the University of Pretoria.

Mr Thutse’s research interests lie in Insolvency Law and the Law of Obligations. He has published in Insolvency Law and Civil Liability Law in the TSAR and De Jure Law Journal.

In addition he has served as a reviewer for De Jure Law Journal and the International Journal of Private Law. He has been a member of the UKZN School of Law, Research and Higher Degrees Committee (November 2022 to January 2024).
