From the 1st of July, POPIA will radically change how call centres uses personal information.

POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) serves to protect data subjects and the right to access information.

  
 
  
Call centres deal directly in personal information. There is pressure to prove that you comply with POPIA procedures.

Companies that are not compliant will face significant penalties – up to 10 years’ imprisonment and/or R10 million in administrative fines.
